Queensland Inter-regional Championships
(17-18 February 2007)

The Sunshine Coast (Caloundra 2) have won the 2007 Queensland
Inter-regional Championships. The Sunshine Coast team edged out
runners-up up Brisbane South (Ipswich 2) to claim the title at the picturesque Eildon Croquet Club.

It was a close competition, with several encounters settled by shoot-out after scores were tied at the end of regulation play.

Four teams ended the day having won half of their games. Brisbane South (Ipswich 1) headed the pack on points difference, before Brisbane North (McIlwraith), Sunshine Coast Region 2 (Caloundra 1) and relative
new-comers Gold Coast (Broadbeach).

National Director of Gateball, Keith McLeod, was the tournament referee.
