Queensland Inter-regional Championships 2008 Showery weather kept gateballers cool and did not cast a dampener on the Queensland Interregional Gateball Championships held at McIlwraith over the weekend of the 16 – 17 February. The Brisbane club proudly displayed its newly refurbished club house to six teams from the Darling Downs, Sunshine Coast, Central Queensland, Gold Coast, Brisbane North and South. The teams all played each other at least twice - those teams who had won a game each then played a decider. Sunshine Coast were clear winners with early victories over 4 of the 5 other teams. Three teams tied on three victories each but Darling Downs were delighted second placegetters on points difference.
